 Awakened Heart is a support group designed to look at what codependency is and how it affects our lives. The group provides a structure to share our stories and grow toward a healthier way of living. Together we inductively study scriptural stories illustrating these principles and learn to use contemplative prayer.
The book required is: Codependent No More: How to Stop Controlling Others and Start Caring for Yourself by Melody Beattie. An additional, optional book is Victory Over Darkness by Neil Anderson.
All women welcome, the group is open to new members. The goal of this group is to allow each woman to let go of control and efficiency as a pattern of life and begin moving toward Jesus' model of love and grace-filled living. For Women Only is a Women's Ministry. Our purpose is to provide support groups for women seeking healing from sexual abuse, sexual betrayal, or codependent relationships in a confidential setting. This support is not counseling but is centered in our relationship in Jesus Christ, and utilizing God’s word to renew our minds.
This ministry serves female members and friends of Trinity Covenant Church.
