How do people become leaders? |
The normal and natural way that people become CommunityLife group leaders is to experience community by participating in a group. Our CommunityLife leaders are looking for people with the heart and gifts to grow into the next generation of CommunityLife leaders. Sometimes people come well-equipped from their earlier experience in groups. Other times they need to get some hands-on experience and practice. The good news is that a CommunityLife group can be a good place to learn about how to lead a group. There are also training events for all leaders and apprentice leaders and the opportunity for apprentice leaders to take part in the coaching process available to our leaders. Leader Commitments |
CommunityLife leaders are committed to the vision of Trinity Covenant Church becoming a community of friends. They desire that every person who is part of Trinity will have opportunities to experience the care, help and spiritual growth that can flow from authentic community among followers of Jesus. This means that Community Life leaders are intentional about cultivating an invitational culture that keeps our groups open to new people.
CommunityLife leaders are committed to making their ministry a priority. Being a CommunityLife leader is more than facilitating a group gathering. It involves inviting people in their group into authentic community with God and each other. This is a responsibility we take seriously. Sometimes people experience crisis where they need their friends to come alongside. We believe leaders play an important role in helping this to happen.

What is the leadership structure of CommunityLife ministry at Trinity? |
There are three levels of leadership within our CommunityLife ministry. Trinity has a Pastor of Adult Ministries (Peter Tullson) who serves with our CommunityLife Cluster to oversee the whole ministry. The CommunityLife Cluster helps in the vision, planning, and implementation of all aspects of our CommunityLife ministry. The CommunityLife Cluster members includes Barbara Pope (860.875.2081), co-chair serving on the Ministry Support Team and Robynn Shannon (860.291.0452), co-chair serving on the Ministry Direction Team. Mehgan Milewski and Bill and Michele Lane are also serving on the cluster in at at-large role. If you are interested in serving contact Barbara, Robynn or Peter. You can learn what the cluster hopes to accomplish here.
CommunityLife Leaders lead their groups, particpate in coaching, help identify apprentice leaders and receive ongoing training. As we get more groups running, there will be a need for more coaches to support our Community Life Leaders. |
